GOOD NEWS !!!!

EPA has extended the deadline for distributors and dealers to sell any  "old label" MSMA inventory in their possession.  The new deadline is December 31, 2010. That should give plenty of time for any old inventory to be sold out by distributors and dealers and eliminate the need for any re-labeling or moving of inventory out of Florida.

In addition, the MAA Task Force has reviewed the last EPA communication in regard to any "old label"  inventory that may remain in the hand of the "END-USER"  as of December 31, 2010. It appears now that EPA is going to allow the "end-user"  to use up any "old label" MSMA in their possession even after the December 31,  2010 deadline. This also includes the state of Florida.

While the state of Florida and other individual states can be more restrictive wth a pesticide as long as the restrictions do not conflict with FIFRA regs, it does not appear at this time that a different approach than listed by EPA will be taken. The MAA Task Force will continue to monitor this part of the puzzle and advise further when year-end approaches.
